Motor Kits -

Adaptor Kits -

OLD MOTOR as pictured and identified as listed:

Features:

• Short shaft with flats
• One or two screw terminals
• Top flange in bronze
• Shaft rotates clockwise only

Used in Simpson Lawrence models:

• C500, C1250 Rope capstans
• V1500, V2000, PP1000 Chain windlasses- power in only.

 You must count the number of teeth on the gear that fits on the motor shaft and order the correct adaptor kit and motor below.

• 15 tooth gear kit : P/n 436112 or 18 tooth gear kit : P/n 436119
• 12 volt motor : P/n 336020 or 24 volt motor : P/n 336021

Important! The above winch drives run clockwise only as viewed on top of the winch. When wiring up test to ensure the polarity is correct. New motor terminals may vary from old installation. Use "Loctite" screw locking compound or similar on all screws.

After installation and testing of your new motor, protect with a coating ofCRC "Softseal" or similar and check regularly

OLD MOTOR as pictured and identified as listed:

Features:

• Short shaft with flats
• One or two screw terminals
• Top flange in bronze
• Shaft rotates in both directions
• Electric brake fitted above motor, under gearbox.

Used in Simpson Lawrence models:

• V1500, V2000, PP1000 Chain windlasses- power in / power out.

Order adaptor kit and motor below:

• Adaptor kit P/n 436116
• 12 volt motor : P/n 336020 or 24 volt motor : P/n 336021

Important! While motor is disconnected, check brake operation by applying DC power to brake terminals. When power is applied, it should be possible to turn the winch using a large bladed screwdriver. If brake does not release, it may need servicing.

Remember when installing new motor, to wire in brake across motor terminals. Direction of motor rotation may be changed by switching main terminals from side to side.Use “Loctite” screw locking compound or similar on all screws.

OLD MOTOR as picture and identified as listed:

Features:

• Long shaft with key
• Two screw terminals
• Top flange in aluminium with four screw holes
• Shaft rotates both ways

Used in Simpson Lawrence models:

• C500, C1250, rope capstans
• V1500, V2000, PP1000 chain windlasses- power “up” only

You must count the number of teeth on the gear that fits on motor shaft and order adaptor kit and motor below

If your V1500, V2000 or PP1000 winch is powered in both “up” and “down” modes:
